Here is a brief summary of my family.Jos Rutherford, daughter of Christopher & Martie, married to Clive.
Clive has now retired from Tate & Lyle and is enjoying some well earned free time either playing golf or visiting our house in Spain (also to play golf)!!! He is also a Trustee on the Board of T & L Pensions and has another sugar related interests.
Jos is very happy with her various interests including volunteering at RHS Wisley in the library and visiting and being visited by grandchildren.
Lucy, our daughter, is 37 and married to Adam, a barrister specialising in construction law. They have 3 small girls: Harriet (7), Millie (nearly 6) and Grace (4).
Nick, our son, is 34 and is now sadly single again. He is an estate agent in Reigate, Surrey.
We are all planning to spend Christmas with Lucy and Adam in Putney.

From Andrew (son of Hugh): Catch up for 2009
This is just a very brief round up of what the Hugh branch of the family were up to in 2009. I expect they will all want to contribute their own two penneth at some later point.
Anne (wife of Hugh, aka Deah) is very happy in her bungalow in Albrighton having moved from a rather isolated farmhouse nearby. Albrighton is quite a large village with all the amenities you would want and a station and she already has many friends there. The Kemp family still treat her as one of their own, which is very nice.
Tim and Fran are still living on the farm in rural Pennsylvania and not seeing enough of David (son of Tim) and his wife Steph who are both working for Microsoft on the other side of the country. These Americans don't seem to understand the meaning of leave/holidays! However, we managed a weekend get together of nearly everyone, in the Cotswolds near Moreton in Marsh to celebrate Deah's 85th birthay. The Jim branch of the family will know Luckley Farm, we went on their recommendation. See pictures
Simon is working hard on his start up IT company but still waiting to be bought out and become a millionaire. Steve and Matt (sons of Simon) were at Luckley Farm. Look out for the iphone/ipod app they created with their Dad (search for Monk & Sons, it is called Penguins and Seals) Stevie is now a secondary school and plays bass in a heavy metal band.
Ruth and I are enjoying our grand children. Ray is the latest, born to Paul and Helen on 25 November, in London. Laura (7, daughter of Sarah, daughter of Andrew) keeps us all in order and Tom (5) enjoy terrorising our dog Lottie (actually she enjoys it). We, and Deah, are going to Sarah and Richards's for Christmas which should be fun.
Me? Well I won't be employed as a professor of psychology at York University for much longer as I am taking early retirement in September 2010 in order to "spend more time with my family" and my new sailing dinghy. Oh, and you might see me on the One Show (BBC1, December 18).

I thought if each person contributing to the blog related themselves to this list it would help the children of cousins know who was who.
I have put in all the names I could find in Jim's excellent family tree archive. I have stopped short of adding the names of cousins' children, it is big enough as it is. Also I am unsure of partner's names. I think it should be the current partner? Please let me know what changes you want. -- Andrew
